At ASME SMASIS 2025 last week (Sept 8–10, St. Louis), Anusha took home the Best Student Paper Award and 2nd place in the Hardware Showcase! A fantastic recognition of her scholarship and hands-on innovation for her work on bio-inspired interlocking metasurfaces. Bravo!!

PhD students Anusha and Sierra presented their work at ASME SMASIS 2025 in St. Louis (Sept 8–10), sharing fresh results on bio-inspired and preloaded interlocking metasurfaces. Their papers will be out soon, stay tuned!

Two new journal articles are out this spring! One introduces a bio-inspired design framework for multifunctional interlocking metasurfaces and the other demonstrates how these structures can reduce vibrations by up to an order of magnitude.
